Costa Verde Inn - San Jose (San Jose)

Costa Verde caught my attention with its beautiful hotel nestled in the hills. The spacious rooms provided a pleasant stay, particularly our One-Bedroom Apartment with a lovely small fridge stocked with beverages for purchase. The pool area was refreshing. Breakfast by the pool delighted my mornings with a good mix of options, but I wished for more variety in the menu. The staff was attentive. Information on room amenities could have been clearer, as we found ourselves borrowing a wine opener due to no glasses provided in the room. The only downside was the distance to the beach. It required quite a hike, which wasn't ideal. Despite this, the tranquil vibe and well-maintained gardens made up for some inconveniences.

The people were exceptionally nice, the rooms were huge and nicely decorated. Nice pool, parking onsite.

the location is stunning, in the center. you can have hot chocolate, tea, toast, fresh fruit and eggs with your breakfast if you want to.

While the ambiance dazzles, the rooms do feel a touch dated, needing some refreshing to match the beauty outside. If you're car-less, be prepared for a bit of a trek to the nearest eateries. Nearby spots are a good 15-minute walk.

I truly enjoyed staying in this 3 star hotel. My room was big with a particularly nice view of the hills and the city. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the staff were welcoming and incredible. I recommend the place.

The breakfast was a good spread, especially the variety of fresh fruits and local treats, made for a satisfying start to the day.

I found that our room was lacking some essentials. It was annoying to discover no toilet paper available. The cleanliness of the floor left much to be desired, so we felt uncomfortable walking barefoot during our two-night stay.

I had a lovely stay with beautiful ocean views from my room and a cozy little fridge that added a nice touch, though the breakfast offerings could've been better. I'd revisit without a doubt!

Perfect for a peaceful getaway

The amazing views from my room were something I had never experienced before! Waking up every morning to the beautiful landscapes around me was surreal, and the friendly staff treated me like family.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but given the quality, it was still acceptable.

Spacious rooms and great breakfast

The rooms offered plenty of space, a big plus for our family. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast. It was hearty and satisfying, much better than what we had encountered at another place. I did find the location a bit far from the beach, which required a bit of a trek.

Fantastic food and awesome dining options. The secluded setting makes it a nice spot to use as a base for exploring around the area. 🍽️

They offer a wide range of food options and the rooms have spacious bathrooms for more comfort.
